University pre-programme

French courses for beginners: A two-week programme from 17 to 28 August 2026

41 hours of face-to-face French lessons:
- 27 hours of written and oral comprehension and expression, and phonetics.
- 14 hours of Civilisation (levels A1, A2, B1)
- 14 hours of Civilisation or French for Academic Purposes (levels B2, C1, C2).
Maximum of 15 students per group.
Cultural activities:
- A day trip to discover Brittany.
- Cultural outings (cinema, museum, festival, etc.).
Small groups of around 15 students.
5 ECTS credits per fortnight.
Fees (for French lessons and cultural activities): €620, 2 weeks (Non-refundable deposit of €90). 10 % off for students from member institutions of the CMI Grouping Council.
Eligible for funding for Erasmus+ mobility, with virtual option available on demand.

A refund will be granted in the event of cancellation for a legitimate reason and upon presentation
of supporting documentation:

At least 60 days before the start of the program: full refund (excluding the deposit).
At least 30 days before the start of the program: 50% refund.
No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the program start date.

Université Rennes 2 <-> City centre: 5 minutes by underground (Villejean-Université station), 20 minutes by foot.
Université Rennes 2 <-> Railway and coach station: 10 minutes by underground.
Rennes <-> Saint Malo’s beaches and the Mont-Saint-Michel: 1 hour by train or car.
Rennes <-> Paris: 1 hour 30 by train.
City center <-> Rennes-Bretagne airport: 30 minutes by bus.
